From June 7 to 8, 2013, Hu Yong'an, Deputy Director of our company’s Technology Center, and Yuan Lijun from the Marketing Center, traveled to Beijing to attend the 2nd China International Summit on Distributed Energy 2013. At the same time, our company showcased product materials—including diesel and gas generator sets, land-based fuel and gas modular units, and trigeneration projects—at the summit’s exhibition, achieving excellent publicity results. This summit was organized by the Energy and Environment Committee of the China International Economic Cooperation Association under the Ministry of Commerce, the China Energy and Environment Technology Association, and the Institute of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Over 100 representatives from more than 70 well-known domestic and international companies in the distributed energy sector attended the event, which was characterized by its high level of expertise, broad influence, and wealth of information.
At this summit forum, representatives from our company engaged in in-depth interactions and exchanges with representatives from various participating organizations, gaining a wealth of information that is highly instructive for future business development planning.
Currently, the distributed energy industry in Europe and the U.S. is highly developed, with remarkable achievements in the efficient, tiered utilization of energy. There are many advanced experiences worth our learning from.
The meeting clearly stated that developing the distributed energy industry is an important component of China’s industrial policy, and the state will gradually introduce relevant standards and preferential industrial support policies. China’s “12th Five-Year Plan for Energy Development” sets a goal of establishing 100 demonstration cities that primarily rely on distributed renewable energy applications. In 2011, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and the National Energy Administration jointly issued the “Guiding Opinions on Developing Distributed Natural Gas Energy.” In terms of market applications, the main markets for the distributed energy industry include newly built industrial parks, high-end residential communities, hospitals, commercial districts, and upscale hotels. Therefore, whether from a policy perspective or a product application perspective, the future market potential for distributed energy is enormous.
The company will fully leverage the relevant national incentive policies, secure strong support from government authorities, and collaborate closely with power companies, research institutions, industry associations, architectural design firms, and other organizations to achieve greater market breakthroughs for its diesel engine products.
In addition, well-known domestic gas-fueled internal combustion engine companies such as Nanchang Yuchai and Shengdong Group have both brought a range of gas-powered generator sets, enabling us to gain a deeper understanding of their product performance and development status. Among them, Shengdong Group has accumulated extensive experience in the application of trigeneration systems, while Shuangliang Group has introduced lithium-bromide absorption chillers and heat pumps—equipment that has been successfully deployed in trigeneration projects both domestically and internationally—providing our company with an excellent channel for selecting specialized equipment for trigeneration systems.
Through this high-level summit, our company has enhanced its visibility in the distributed energy sector and gained greater confidence—and clearer direction—in developing trigeneration projects.
