Since the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping has repeatedly emphasized that, in order to accomplish the great cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, the Communist Party of China—as the leading force—must demonstrate a new outlook and achieve new accomplishments. To strengthen Party building, we must focus tightly on the key issue of “maintaining the Party’s close ties with the people.” Leading cadres must remain deeply committed to the people with a pure and sincere heart, concentrate on addressing the most pressing issues raised by the masses, and ensure that all organizational activities are guided by the principle of “serving the people.”

Strengthening Party building must be closely aligned with this goal. The key to “maintaining the close bond between the Party and the people” requires leading cadres to remain genuinely devoted to the people, focus on addressing the most pressing issues raised by the masses, and ensure that all organizational activities are guided by the principle of “serving the people.” Therefore, in July 2018, the company’s Party branch, in conjunction with the “Extensive Study, Extensive Discussion, and Extensive Research” campaign initiated by the company at the end of May, took the lead in launching a themed essay contest titled “Making Party Building More Dynamic.” As of August 15, a total of nine articles had been submitted, with contributions coming from all departments within the company. After two rounds of review, Dai Yong from the Machining Division won first prize for his essay “Unity”; Li Pei from the Production and Operations Department received second prize for his essay “Reflections on the Company’s Path of Party Building”; and Wang Jianming from the Production and Operations Department won third prize for his essay “Following the Party and Opening Up a New Chapter in Our Work.” Additionally, the Production and Operations Department was awarded the Outstanding Organization Prize for submitting the largest number of entries (three essays) and achieving the highest quality (two of the submitted essays winning awards).
